1 extra large egg, 1 cup softened butter, 1.5 cups brown sugar, 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • A little at a time start to mix in the dry ingredients.
3 cups flour, 2 tsp corn startch, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt
  • Cover and chill in fridge for at least 4 hours
  • Pre heat oven to 350 and cover baking sheets with parchment paper
  • Let mixture come to room temp
  • Roll small cookie dough balls and then create an indent in the center. You can use a measuring spoon.
  • Add pieces of walnut to the center of each cookie, then add ΒΌ teaspoon-a very small amount-over the nuts. Adding too much will make the cookies really sweet and cause the maple syrup to run over the edges and possibly burn.
    1/2 cup walnuts
  • Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes until golden, under baking will give you a really nice chewy cookie.
