Who’s Really In Control on Movie Night with Netflix
I’m part of the Netflix #StreamTeam I have received a year of Netflix Streaming in exchange for posts.
I’m not going to lie, the kids walk all over us when it comes time to choose a movie. When it’s time to sit down as a family and pick a show on Netflix together, it’s always the kids that win.
First Korey will argue to watch My Little Pony, look dude we’ve watch it so much lately that I’m starting to know what their little symbols are. Something more enjoyable for all of us, or at least tolerable to where we’re not having to make him sit next to us with his hands crossed.
Movies and shows we watch together as a family, Peguins of Madagascar The Movie, Mr Peabody and Sherman Show, and anything that has a song or dance to it. After the parade of bright colors and learning about feelings and right from wrong the kids go to bed and we enjoy more adult programming and some delicious snacks like chili.
Have you caught Fuller House yet? I am so excited for this because it’s more focused on the girls in the family, so I’m sure I will be relating to a lot of the mothering things and we still have Danny Tanner and the uncles! Talk about reviving some great shows.
Overall movie night is really about spending time with the kids. Extra cuddles on the couch, answering questions about characters and what we loved in the movie. Seeing what makes them laugh or which characters they connect to is a great way to see their personality come out.
What do you do on movie night?
