Today’s #Tasteoff was sponsored by Yoplait, but the winner was my honest choice.
In case you haven’t heard yet, Yoplait is challenging people to take a blind taste test and find out who they really choose between Yoplait Greek 100 Strawberry and Chobani Greek Simply 100 Strawberry. Yoplait asked consumers across America to take the taste test and the results showed that they preferred the taste of Yoplait to Chobani.
For my taste test challenge I let my boyfriend hand me a spoon while my eyes were closed and tasted each one separately. I could tell you that there definitely was a clear winner for me, and that was Chobani. I enjoyed the thickness of the Greek yogurt, and the taste of the strawberries as well. Chobani tasted great with my cereal that has flax, quinoa, and lots of crunchy bits.
Now I am a big Yoplait fan, after giving birth to my second child, Keith filled up the fridge for me to have easy snacks when I needed it. Sadly the Greek version of their yogurt just wasn’t my favorite, unlike the national average who preferred it. If the strawberries had a stronger taste of being freshly picked and the yogurt was thicker I think it would have been a clear winner for me.
Turning yogurt into a delicious breakfast staple is the best way to get me to eat my breakfast. Here is my favorite Yogurt Crunch Parfait recipe that you can use with your taste off winner!

- 1 c. of your favorite Strawberry fruit on the bottom Greek yogurt with only 100 calories
- ½ c. each blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries
- ½ c. Nature's Path Organic Sunrise Crunch Vanilla
- Layer yogurt on bottom, then top with blueberries, raspberries and blackberries
- Another layer of yogurt
- Add strawberries on top of yogurt and finish with cereal.
I thought I was going to love the Chobani yogurt, but I didn’t. You seem to be the minority, I love it!

I grew up eating yogurt and am so happy that Greek style yogurt is now so popular and readily available. Thanks for sharing your recipes! Personally I love the taste mixture of plain with addition of real strawberries/bananas and sprinkles of bran.
I love layering fruit with yogurt. My son loves it at snack time too.
I’d be up for the challenge – I’m a daily yogurt eater!
