Successful Morning Habits of a Social Media Influencer
It’s been 5 years since I started my blogging journey and 1 year of my officially claiming the social media influencer title. To get here I needed to have successful morning habits, a great support system and a willingness to do a lot of work.
Stay Active
Even getting out for a 5 minute walk before the bus comes or lifting some weights in the kitchen helps my body wake up. A lot of my work is done sitting down and that can take a toll on your body.
Getting up and moving every so often is important and making sure that I get in active time before those periods helps me stay up with my activity goal. Being sluggish all day doesn’t benefit me when working with clients.
Get Some Caffeine In
It’s no secret by the name of my blog that I have a thing for coffee. Every morning my youngest Kyler wakes up at 5 or 5:30 at the latest, and he’s ready to start his day. I mean full on ready to act like a frat guy in the morning while everyone else is sleeping.
For me a kick of coffee really does the trick to get me somewhat close to his energy level so I can catch him before he tears the toys apart. Lately it has been super hot and I haven’t even been looking forward to a cold coffee and it just warms right up. Why not have it in food form?
My local Brockport Walmart has these amazing SnackWell’s NEW Biscuit Thins on the shelves and they come in three delicious flavors. Caramel Macchiato (caramel & espresso flavors mixed plus hint of real coffee), French Vanilla (A vanilla flavoring with a sweet and creamy touch & real coffee), and Dark Chocolate Mocha (Super delicious and rich dark chocolate and mocha flavors along with real coffee).
Upon opening the French Vanilla Latte, I was in love. You can smell the real coffee and the taste is just as you would expect if you were actually ordering these as drinks! Yes I am completely happy to have these biscuits for breakfast, there are 4 in a package so if I don’t get to them right away like my coffee, I can come right back and have a great little snack.
Along with real coffee, there is no fat, it’s peanut free and has no high fructose corn syrup. Whole grains and a good source of fiber and protein are just some of the reasons I make sure to have these on my shelf. And when I open them I’m greeted with an adorable inspirational message. And here’s something great for you a coupon for save on your own box!
Have a Brain Dump Station
Essentially a brain dump station would be a notebook where you would keep all your random thoughts that come along through the day. Then you sort everything out later on what is important and what can go.
A lot of my blog posts start out this way, just little ideas or problems that come along. It’s a great way for me to stay organized and see what works.
These are some things that I do daily to keep myself on track. It’s not easy working for yourself but the rewards are amazing and I’m so happy to inspire others to find it in themselves!
What is something you do every single morning to be productive?
I’ve always wanted to know your secrets- you rock social media like it’s nobody’s business! Thanks for sharing some of your tips 🙂
YES! A brain dump station is key!
I really enjoyed this post! Being an influencer I loved hearing the new tips and I tweeted for ya …. to let all the other influencers in on the secrets as well. Thanks for sharing! And I agree, these are some delicious biscuits!
I need to start incorporating a brain dump session into my daily routine, I think it would be a fabulous routine to do daily. I defiantly use a lot of caffeine in my daily routine, by the way those snack wells biscuits are so delicious my kids love the mocha flavor.

Those are great ideas. I’m all for the brain dump but instead of writing it on paper, I usually grab my computer and start typing. Most of my posts start out that way in draft before I can finish. As for Snackwell’s Biscuit Thins, these are the bomb!

Love these tips! I couldn’t agree more on the brain dump session! I try to do this as often as I can. It’s always so great to get all your ideas on paper … else I forget them!
I deifinitley need a brain dump space. I put EVERYTHING on my phone because it is the only thing that travels with me. If I could create a habit so that I have options throughout the day when I need to write/get ideas out, it would be great!!
This is a really interesting insight you’ve provided here. Social media definitely can be a good tool to have at a marketer’s disposal, but you have to know how to use it for your business’ best interest. Nice article. Thanks for sharing this!
