My family is all about technology, especially when it comes to our house. From our TV being connected via wifi and now our lighting! Thanks to Best Buy we tried out the new Philips hue White and Color Ambiance Starter kit, along with the Philips hue Go and a few extras to keep everything connected and our Wi-Fi strong like the Netgear exclusive router.
Make Holidays and Parties Better
With the Philips hue White and Color Ambiance Starter kit you get 3 bulbs and a bridge which connects your lights to your Wi-Fi. After downloading the hue app to your device you can control your lights by mood-setting color schemes or classic features like reading and relaxing.
Want to kick it up a notch for your parties? You can add a picture and select the colors to set your theme. There is an option for setting your lights automatically when you come home or go on vacation. No more worrying about people seeing a dark house all the time and thinking they can come.
If you have an Apple HomeKit this works perfect for it so you can use your iPhone and Siri to help control your lights, be completely relaxed without having to even move.
Installation is easy
The 3 light bulbs that come with it are A19 and they have been upgraded from 600 to 800 lumens which means it gives you a brighter light. When installing the lights do not use them outside and do not put them in dimmer lights. Part of the amazing quality of Philip hue is that it allows you to dim the lights right from your phone.
My new best friend at night is the hue Go. I simply charge it and then I have 3 hours of rechargable battery life to use and several options to chose from: Cozy Candle, Sunday Coffee, Meditation, Enchanted Forest, and Night Adventure. The candle is my favorite because it looks like it’s actually flickering!
Bye Bye Wi-Fi Deadspots
Using the Netgear® Nighthawk™ DST Router and DST Adapter, which is available at Best Buy only, I’ve learned how much I was missing out on with my Wi-Fi.
According to research the average household has up to 7 devices connected to their Wi-Fi. We have 4 all the time at minimum connected, with Korey enjoying technology with his Autism and SPD with need to make sure we don’t have dead zones. Which is why Best Buy and Netgear designed this product together.
This kit includes a DST aka “Dead Spot Terminator” to help get rid of the Wi-Fi dead zones in your house. Place it in a spot in your house where you get little to no reception and watch it improve. My living room was the worst spot so when we put it in there I was amazed how much our Wi-Fi increased.
If you’re not tech savy but you depend on your technology, you will be happy to know that Geek Squad has your back when installing this device.
When would you use the Philips hue lighting?
