I hope your family and you are doing well. This is a trying time for everyone and it seems that no place is spared from this pandemic. I asked some friends to help me gather ways for our children to start learning from home and fun things they can do as well.
While our school will start remote learning next week, as many have, I want to share what I believe is most important. Right now our children are learning a lot from us, you cannot turn anywhere without hearing about the Coronavirus: COVID-19. It is really stressful and they can pick up on these emotions.
If this is all too much for you right now and you can’t think about how you are going to be your child’s teacher. Let your kid be a kid. Take time for yourself as well. Emotional well being is just as important as your health, please take care of yourself.

Teachers Pay Teachers
This is an excellent website that you can find paid and free learning resources for all grade levels.
Math Is Fun
Do you have a Kindle? Kindle Freetime Unlimited is a great paid ‘app’ that you can get for your child to use with a lot of educational learning tools and videos.
Stop Motion Studio
From a friend: “I highly recommend the app “Stop motion studio” to keep kids busy creating their own animations! Whether you make clay/play dough and let them do claymation, or they can even use their toys/blocks to move around & create little videos.”
Also there are a lot of apps that allow your kids to create THEIR OWN video games! And most are as easy to learn as simply dragging & dropping & teach them a lot about coding.
