This fast and fresh Strawberry-Banana Smoothie makes a great breakfast for any busy mom.
I’m the queen of having breakfast as quick as possible and having the ability to take it around the house with me since I’m working two jobs from home now. Now while I like my food fast, I want it to have quality and using fresh ingredients is part of that.
Having fruit on hand all the time makes it super easy to make a smoothie for breakfast. Here’s a fun quick strawberry-banana smoothie you can make for a quick breakfast and pick me up, added Greek yogurt to give it fullness and protein.
- ½ c. fresh strawberries
- 1 medium ripe banana sliced
- ¼ c. greek yogurt
- ½ c milk of your choice
- Blend all ingredients together
Adding Greek yogurt is a simple thing you can do for your smoothie to give it an added boost of protein and thickness. Now that I’m working more hours from home I need to make sure I can get some food in me, as I work around my regular life and kids of course. Finding more hours in my day would be the next best thing to this Strawberry-Banana Smoothie, but adding some cocoa powder to this would make me a little cheery at least with some of the added stress. Things like this are how I’m able to keep on track with eating a breakfast daily, pretty proud of myself at how far I’ve come at that.
As an added note since Korey has sensory issues and won’t take all fruits and veggies in their natural forms this is a great way to get him to eat/drink them. Hey he’s getting them in at least!
