I received a copy of this book for review but all opinions are my own
As I’ve reminded you all before, many times, Korey is off to school this year. I have gathered myself and am all ready. Kidding, I’m freaking out. Not only am I worried about myself but I know that new things with Korey are not easy to introduce him to in his schedule.
When I was asked to review a book about a boy who goes to school for the first time, I jumped at the chance. Stewie Boomstein Starts School by Christine Bronstein is the story of a young boy whose first day of school doesn’t go quite as planned, but with the help of his family he finds a way to make school fun and exciting.
This is a perfect read for children ages 3-6 who are getting ready to enter into their first day of pre-k or kindergarten. Korey matches the personality of Stewie perfectly. A loud, funny and of course sometimes tantrum throwing child. While reading we are reminded that it is important to help prepare children for these new encounters and activities they will be doing.
If you have a child that is getting ready for a new experience in school and might have some worries this is a great read with them. Your child gets to really understand their emotions and learn ways to enjoy their day without becoming upset. Looking to have some back-to-school tips on hand when you need them?
