Easter Color Match Activity for Toddlers with PEEPS®
Easter is almost upon us, do you have your Easter baskets finished? I have the perfect way to teach a color match activity for toddlers this Easter and some fun tips on how to decide which candy to gift!
Marshmallow Fan
Are you making a basket for a marshmallow fan? There are so many varieties of delicious marshmallow goodness you could gift them from PEEPS®. Party Cake themed marshmallows are perfect for those who have a birthday near Easter, this works great for my niece and best friend who are so close with their birthday’s. It’s a sweet way to remind them of their special day with a sparkly PEEPS® chick!
Perhaps someone likes a little sour taste? Try the new PEEPS® Sour Watermelon chicks! All the goodness of the taste of watermelon with a hint of sour in a cute little green chick. Or you could keep it classic with a gluten free, fat-free yellow PEEPS® marshmallow chick, always a fan favorite! Or give them all the colors of chicks with a rainbow pop that makes for easy display in a basket!
Want to give a classic Easter cookie a fun twist? Melt a decoarted marshmallow egg from PEEPS® onto of a sugar cookie for some sweet goodness!
Candy and Chocolate fans
If you’re still shopping for your basket make sure you head over to PEEPS & COMPANY® to shop where you get 20% off your order (no minimum required!) when you use code EASTERTREATS.
While you’re there you can easily shop for fans of candy with purchases like Mike and Ike and Hot Tamales (Dad’s favorite!). After all marshmallow fans can’t have all the fun because when you add chocolate to classic PEEPS® marshmallow taste you have a perfect making for Easter baskets.
Whether dipped in orange fudge or a mousse flavored chick in dark or milk chocolate, you can find what you need for chocolate fans. My absolute favorite is the PEEPS® PEEPSTERS, a great combination of marshmallow and chocolate.
Color Match Acitivty for Toddlers
Did you know you can easily use PEEPS® to help teach colors to toddlers? Simply gather up purple, pink and yellow marshmallow bunnies and cut them in half. Have your child match up the head and body to the same colors, if you have colored empty eggs you can use them as well to put the bunnies in!
It’s a great way to keep your child learning during a time which is usually Spring break, and it also doubles as a sensory activity. Get them touching the sticky marshmallow and feeling the texture of the bunny on the outside.

Peeps have always been the main source of my Easter baskets when I was growing up and now for my boys too.
