Oprah’s Strawberry Sorbet Recipe with Breville Smart Scoop
If you could spend your summer eating delicious recipes from one of your favorite celebrities who would you choose? If I told you you had the chance to eat Oprah’s favorite strawberry sorbet would you be excited? because I have been excited digging into this strawberry sorbet recipe and making it in her favorite ice cream maker the Breville Smart Scoop.
Oprah Winfrey came out with a cook book Food, Health, and Happiness; inspired by her love for family and friends and recipes that are easy and delicious to prepare. Alongside some of her favorite chefs, we get a peek inside these healthy recipes and what inspires Oprah. It’s the closest I will get to having a brunch alongside this inspirational woman, and I’ll take that!
I have a couple of reasons why I find this delicious strawberry sorbet recipe to be amazing. First, it’s easy and practical ingredients, Oprah is serious when she’s making a cookbook that is easy and healthy. Second, when you use this with her favorite ice cream maker the Breville Smart Scoop anyone can make it seem like they are a master dessert chef.
It’s the best ice cream maker I have ever seen. It has simple settings for you to choose from a variety of frozen desserts and even allows for you to choose your custom setting. Being the first ice cream maker to be able to detect the hardness of the mixture you add in, it’s able to alert you when it’s ready and keep it cool.
My boyfriend was literally a kid in a candy store when he read through the instruction manual. When it alerts you the mixture is ready by playing a song that you choose, and there’s quite the variety. Of course, my boyfriend went for the entertainment theme and he never smiled bigger once he set the tune. It’s like our own little personal ice cream truck!
With a manual timer and the ability to keep your ice cream cool for 3 hours after it’s made thanks to the pre-cool procedure that the Smart Scoop does. This really is going to be a year round favorite kitchen gadget because it’s so easy to operate with the LED display!
I added a nice little touch of shaved chocolate and a mint leaf to give the sorbet a little special touch.
What would be your first dessert to make in the Breville Smart Scoop? Will you be picking up a copy of Oprah’s new cook book?
