This is a sponsored post with HERDEZ. All opinions are my own.
During the week meal time is left up to my boyfriend, Keith. I’m not the best cook in the world and frankly I would rather he do it for me since he’s so great at it. Yet, like clockwork, when the weekend rolls around and Korey is with grandma, I’m left to figure out what I want the family to eat for lunch.
I’m a quick and easy meal time woman, but I also like something hearty that will leave me feeling full and not longing for more. Vegetables added is awesome and yes I need something that tastes good. Frozen meals are a great quick fix for me but sometimes they fall flat. Finding something that both the toddler, the boyfriend and myself can enjoy is hard. Thankfully I was introduced to HERDEZ Mexicana Frozen Bowls, and I want to tell you about my favorites.
HERDEZ Mexicana Frozen Bowls come in 10 different flavors I decided to try Chicken Tinga and Beef Barbacoa. I had a feeling with both of these selections that the family would be torn between what they liked. Keith and I really enjoyed the Beef Barbacoa, the Spanish style rice was a hit with me, yummy piece of corn and peas. Beef all the way for Keith, he choose to put his entire bowl into a tortilla which was a great idea, if only I hadn’t eaten more than half my bowl by then.
Next up was Chicken Tinga featuring shredded chicken, rice and vegetables in a fragrant chipolte sauce. This dish was a hit with Korey, he loved the chicken and the sauce was a wonderful “dip” for him. We are always finding that Korey eats better when he has a sauce of some sort that he can dip his food in, and he dipped his vegetables in the sauce and ate them! Huge score for HERDEZ getting my boy to eat veggies!

I have never tried these before but I think they would be great for my teenage son. He’s always looking for food.
10 different flavors sound awesome, I would try the Chicken Tinga first. Great flavorful quick meal.
I have never seen these Herdez Mexicana frozen bowls before. I would love to try the Herdez frozen products. I will have to check the local stores here to see if they carry this brand.
