Are you trying to figure out how to get a toddler to eat vegetables? Me TOO! Eating around here with my son Korey is usually a fight, he has no problem eating, but it’s what he will and won’t eat at the time. If only our children could give us a list of the things they planned on pulling each day it would be much easier for us as parents, but that isn’t going to happen. So what are you to do a parent when you’re trying to find ways to get more vegetables in your child’s diet?
In comes my first real attempt after wasting countless amounts of money on different veggies for Korey to eat.
- 1 c. pasta made from vegetables
- Alfredo sauce
- Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper (optional)
- Cook pasta according to package directions
- Add Alfredo sauce after draining pasta, just enough to coat the pasta
- Dish up and sprinkle Parmesan and salt and pepper over pasta
- Refrigerate any left overs
This went off without a problem at all! I don’t know if it is his love for pasta or for cheese, which is why I used a four cheese alfredo and the parmesan, but it worked! His father spent so much money trying to find different vegetables to get him to eat but they didn’t work. Now it’s time for mommy to start learning new ways to cook him vegetables without him knowing. That is how to get a toddler to eat vegetables (at least mine) !
Do you have any struggles with your child not eating certain food groups? What did/do you do?
