Dragons: Race to the Edge
Back at Netflix in an all new adventure Hiccup and Toothless are giving as a new look at the island of Berk. Hiccup finds himself wondering what to do next with his life, where he should move on and then has to worry about his nemesis Dagger coming after him.
Like the fear of Dagger finding him, Korey has begun to express his fears of some things. Sleeping alone, using the potty, and having to be more independent. Since Korey has special needs, I need to explain things differently to him and the best way to do that is through anything visual and hands on for him.
With some props provided by Netflix, and his plush dragon by his side Korey was ready to take on a big dragon. Through creative play pretending to be a dragon and a Viking, then fighting a dragon (sorry for the horrible drawing ha!) and defeating it.
Talking about how he was able to be brave and face that dragon we were able to translate that to being able to try new things and take the chance. Over the past few years he has gone from being nonverbal to talking and singing all the time. I know that if he can do that he can try to do anything he wants.
What to Expect in Dragons: Race to the Edge
Dragons are known for the adventures, this time they are in so many with dangerous twists and turns. We watch the riders use their skills and adapt to situations. Will they make it out and will they be there at the end?
