I received products from the Evenflo Bebek Collection for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.
Transitioning your baby to from breast to bottle may seem like a difficult task. I know when Korey was little and I tried getting him to drink from a bottle that it was a nightmare the first week. What I wasn’t realizing was that he was so use to the shape of my nipple, I wasn’t taking into consideration the shape of the nipple on the bottle.
Evenflo Bebek Collection is a line designed to mimic mother’s nipple and reduce colic with bottles, while the pacifiers are designed for the baby’s comfort and with a orthodontic design. It is very important when you are choosing to transition from breast to bottle that you make sure the bottle is designed to help the baby with “nipple confusion”. I had heard of the term before I had Korey but I just thought it was silly, until I experienced it first hand. Nothing is silly about a hungry crying baby who refuses to eat from something because they aren’t use to it.
I tried the Evenflo Bebek Collection with my friend’s 3 month old who she needed to start bottle feeding because she is getting a new job. It is terrifying when you’re breast feeding and you realize that you have an amazing opportunity for a job but you worry about how your child will do without the breast they were use to getting milk from. I showed her the Evenflo Bebek Collection and how the bottle has a wide-base nipple that is designed to help the baby latch easier, she was very excited to see a bottle designed for transitioning since it was all new to her.
When it came to the time to use the pacifier she was surprised at the orthodontic design, it is really different from the previous pacifier that her son was using so she wasn’t sure how he would take to it. Within second her little one was sucking away on it and she told me that he looked much more comfortable with it than his previous pacifier. She loves the simple design of the pacifier and the cute color options. Orange is her favorite, because of the brightness of the pacifier it’s easy to spot if you drop it or have to dig in a diaper bag.
While she didn’t want to take photos of the baby I took plenty to show you the design of the Evenflo Bebek bottle and pacifier. My favorite features as a second time mom, besides the nipple shape, are the one piece nipple which has no extra parts to clean just one nipple, and the patented silicone nipple to make the air bubbles flow into the bottle and not the baby’s tummy. I hated how many bottles I had to go through with Korey to find the right one that wouldn’t let air into his tummy. I often cried when he had gas because he was just so uncomfortable and even with all the bicycle kicks and colic medicine in the world wouldn’t settle his tummy.
Evenflo Bebek Collection is a line that we are putting on our registry for Korey’s little brother joining us in January. My friend had a lot of relief lifted off her shoulders using the Evenflo Bebek Collection of bottles and pacifiers and I’m glad that I was able to introduce her to such a wonderful design of products!
