DIYEaster Bunny Home Decoration
Hippity Hop the Easter bunny is on his way soon! This cute DIY Easter Bunny home decoration is perfect to bring a light touch of Spring inside.
Growing up my grandmother always went over the top to decorate for holidays. She specialized in making signs for her front window that faced that street. From my brother going to college to groundhog’s day, no holiday was untouched.
Our tradition for Easter was heading to grandma and grandpa’s and look for our baskets. Grandma Mia would always go to our local Oliver’s store to get me a chocolate bunny. There was nothing like the taste of that milk chocolate in the afternoon, it’s what I always include in our kids baskets now too.
I think my grandmother would love to display this light spring colored Easter bunny decoration in the home. And it’s super easy to make, no need to be a crafting expert!
Paper Bunny (Target $3 spot)
1 piece 12×12 Burlap Paper (http://www.joann.com/dcwv-12inx12in-colored-burlap-stack-fashion/14413546.html#q=burlap+paper&start=9)
Mod Podge or Elmer’s White Glue
Foam Brush
Lace Ribbon (Dollar Tree)
Scissors
Pencil or Pen

Place your bunny, face down, on the back of the burlap paper. Use a pen to trace around the bunny.
Cut the burlap on the line.

Use a foam brush to spread mod podge on the paper bunny. Place burlap cut out on top of mod podge and press down firmly and evenly to adhere. Wipe the edges of the paper with your finger if any mod podge is seeping out. Set aside to dry.

When dry, cut about a 14″ piece of ribbon, tie around your bunny’s neck and display!
