I am an FEI Family Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Feld Entertainment, Inc. or one of its affiliates has provided me with complimentary tickets to its shows and opportunities to attend its private pre-show events
Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure is in town at the Blue Cross Arena from January 18th – 22nd. I was pleased with the show after attending the opening performance and it is surely to be a show that your family will never forget.
One of the most impressive things for me was how they included the variety of characters that you couldn’t imagine on ice skates! Disney’s Frozen, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Peter Pan all have characters that traditionally wouldn’t be able to skate.
Olaf gave a wonderful performance and left everyone laughing but not as much as Pumba. With his bouncing bottom and recognizable grin he stole the show for me!
The program booklet was beautifully colored and told a great story of how the show will progress. As a parent I was happy to see when the intermission would be but as all Disney shows go your kids are encouraged to get up and move around and dance their hearts out!
I’m a lover of figure skating and these performers are top notch. During The Lion King I was gasping at the stunts they were able to pull off without hurting themselves on the ice. Not only is it exciting to watch for the children but adults will be happy to have such great entertainment brought to them.
My all time favorite Disney film is The Little Mermaid and boy did they ever manage to give you more than you could expect. There are some things in this performance (THE BIGGEST URSULA EVER!) that were breathtaking. Costumes, singing, dancing and floating on the ice as if you were in the sea.
Among other things that I love about this show is that your children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney character. It’s a wonderful way to engage your child in the show and make them feel connected to their favorite characters.
Along with the performances your children and you can pick up souvenirs throughout the show and get a memorable photo to take home.
Pick up your tickets and attend the show before you miss one of the best shows on ice!
