Currently My Life Is…Raising a Newborn with a Toddler
Filled with coffee.
Piled with dirty diapers.
1 hour naps.
Little feet and hands.
Hugs and kisses.
Having a little 16 day old little baby and an almost 3 year old with special needs, is needless to say, a handful. I thought I was going to be so much more prepared for this but I am beyond exhausted.
These first few weeks have reminded of what it was like being a first time mom. Yes, it’s much easier this time around, I know most newborn things and I knew I would have to adjust to the sleep pattern of an insomniac again. However there is something much more challenging now, Korey.
There are times that I can swear he knows that I’m doing something with his brother so he decides to do as many bad things at once before I get a chance to get to him. He makes sure that he gets right in my face doing something bad, while his brother is laying on me and laughs because I can’t even mutter a stern loud tone or I could wake up the baby. Oh child, you know hwo to push mommy’s buttons.
I think a call to Nanny 911 is in order.
