Our county fair was the last week in July and we took Korey down for a day. I have always gone to our county fair since I was little, the animals were my favorite. Hoping to introduce my little animal lover to cows, bunnies, and horses , I quickly found out what he didn’t like.
A fun family tradition for most folks are letting the kids pose on different tractors, they have small ones and REALLY big ones. I can’t wait to set Korey up next year and have him pose next to the same tractor and see how he grows.
First animals that Korey met were cows. Okay I will admit on my part that him never seeing cows before and knowing that they moo, or even what a moo is , I should have prepared him for that. But it was seeming that I didn’t have worry about that, he saw different kinds of cows, brown cows, black and white cows. It was going good. Til two jerk cows decided to make my baby cry.
These two cows decided to let out the loudest moo’s and Korey did not like that one bit. My poor baby was crying over these cows, and what did Mom Of The Year do? I started laughing. He was consoled as well, but I got a good laugh out of him not liking that.
Korey does love goats though! Thanks to the small animal farm down from our house he has seen these before and he always finds them fun to look at. Remember when visiting animal barns to use antibacterial gel if you pet any of them, just to make sure no one gets sick from anything.
While we weren’t there long, we did make sure to pick something up and snack on together. A small order of fries was $3, and I didn’t think we would be getting much. Little did I know they fill up the small bowl and then slam a whole bunch more of fries on top filling the paper towel. Worth every penny and plenty for us three to share. There was quite a bit of fried foods and even a slice of pizza for $4! Outrageous, but we had fun and next year he should be able to go on the rides.
Do you have a local fair that you attend yearly?
